3206804.jpgAt one point she leaned forward and seemed to jerk about. Trees were blocking the view, but when she flew out, she had a stick in her mouth......she was refurbishing the nest! |

3206855.jpgThe nest is about 50 yards in back of my house and about 60-70 feet up in the tree. Its been there for several years. |
 3236916.jpgThree days later I see "a" bird............ |
3236927.jpgRight after I took this the other bird flew in and kind of flapped behind this one before landing next to it. Those shots didn't turn out at all. It was the first that I had actually seen both birds together. |
3236940.jpgThen one of them flew to a tree to the west. The other bird was breaking off pieces of sticks and kept flying in and out to the nest, while this one watched. Thankfully the light was also changing. |
3236941.jpgThen the other bird came and joined the first one....the next several shots you will see they were fairly close to one another in the same tree. |
3236943.jpgYou can hear their calls in the morning. They are very vocal, repeating a series of high "key-ah" notes. |

3236945.jpgRed-shouldered hawks have an elaborate and noisy courtship display flight that includes fast dives and climbs while giving loud screams. |
