A walk through the salvage yard in June found many "junk yard nesters". (Oh, yeah, I'm not supposed to call it a junk yard..ha ha...)
In junk cars, on them, on car parts in junk cars...they seemed to find places to nest. One mourning dove that nested on a rack that held rims, was very tolerant of people walking by her all day.
I went back later to find several had babies in the nests, but not all of them made it. The raccoons that roam around at night were responsible for several failed nests.
Interesting gallery Tam...a little out of the "norm" for you as it was in an unexpected location from your usual watch sites. Are you able to identify the birds from the nests and eggs?
