A rough start

We found this kitten sitting in the middle of the road on our way home one Friday night. We almost ran her over. I was half hoping she was a feral cat and would run the other way when I got out to check her over. But she ran right up to me and started purring. Well, what could we do but take her home and decide what to do.

I was really shocked when I saw the first picture, but close to the last I got very happy for that little pretty kitten. It's great that we still have kind people who really care about little creatures who need our help.

I have to sympathize, I found a Baby kitten in a parking lot, her eyes were not open yet, bout 1 week old. Did take to Humane Society and they said that she would die anyway. I got angry with them and took her home and nursed her, bathed her fed her every feeding, every 2 1/2 hours. Our Ausi shepard Angus, let her "nead" his long fur, and he kept her between his paws
In the beginning she had little or no fur, We bought a diaper bag and warm flannel blankets and I took her everywhere I went, Today she is still living, and is a very happy Kat, she is almost 5 yrs old. I am glad that there are more people like you.

OLEG...
Have you ever heard the saying:
Those who hate cats will be reborn as mice ? Oh boy, better change quick because you'll be sorry in your next life !!!

Congratulations on your success. I have had many cats & most were ferals. They make womderful pets if you have the patience. My last cat Possom was 23 years old whn he went home. Your story was really nice to see. I agree she is ssomepart of Snowshoe as so is one of my cats and the body color will darken with age like a Siamese cat. I had nine cats at one time & now have only four at the moment. Best of luck with your angel. Will check back to see how she is doing. May God bless you for your kindness.

what a great story! It's good to know there is compassion and kindness to counterbalance the cruelty in this world. Keep posting. All your cats are beautiful.

People like you restore my faith in humans. This little kitty is a treasure and her story is remarkable. There is an old Indian legend that says when you die you cross a bridge to Heaven and at the head of that bridge waits every animal you have known in your life and they decide who enters Heaven and who is turned away. You and those who helped this little creature will certainly be welcomed into Heaven.

Lovely story! I also have saved a kitten from the street(hidden in the engine of a car) The driver didn't noticed.......But with a lot of patience and a lot of love you are getting it back way more. Thanks for doing this and Zoey sure agrees with me.

When my friend's dog lost both his eyes, I was really distressed. But my vet told me that animals don't suffer the mental anguish about going blind (or losing other senses) that humans do.....so, I know Zoey will do fine with lots of human love and her new feline friends. Thank you for being so kind to her.

I was having a piss poor day today but I read this story and I feel so much better that there are people who would take the time for a cat like this. I have two cats of my own and one of them was a cast away from the pound...I can relate to how much you grow to love them so quickly!
thank you for being so kind.

What a great story Took forever to read it, Christy was asking so many questions. She also would like to come out to visit Zoey someday. Still had a few tears left, after our days were they never stopped....but at least they were good tears. Great job everyone on you help with the recovery of this little soul. (for the love of Mike Schmidt )....need I say any more..

Take care and keep us posted on the results !!!
