Love or Hate

Highway 45 bypass ~ New London, Wi

Okay, I am not sure if this is a "have I won your heart thing" or "get the heck out of my marsh thing".

I have read that if the male thinks he has won the female over he will chase her with neck out and hissing. I have also read they do sort of the same thing if another male invades their territory, which is what happened a few frames back. (Hit next twice)

Funny thing Tammie a pair return every year to the stretch of canal near me and we feed them .....a lot.
They trust us but still approach with necks extended and hissing at times.
They are great parents and we look forward to them every year.

Looks more like "back seat driving" to me. Nag, nag, nag!
