Spring Babies '06

Some babies from this spring. A period of rainy, cold weather in May resulted in some failed nests. The eagles nest in Menasha started out with 3 babies, now 1 remains. A redtails nest along Hwy 10 had 2 chicks in it and now there are none. There were several reports of bluebird nests that failed also. I had trouble with a raccoon destroying the first bluebird nest at my house, they rebuilt and now we suspect a wren is responsible for wrecking the second attempt.

A shout out and thank you to Jeff Raflik, a photographer from Waupun who shared the location of the redtails nest in Appleton with me. To see some of Jeffs awesome shots go here: http://www.jeffraflik.com/
