The bottom row shows the top row upsampled to match the cropping provided by the middle row (Peleng plus 1.4x Tamron converter). These results suggest that the only reason to try the converter was to see the proper cropping in finder. The converter loses more sharpness than does cropping. At f/3.5 it is ridiculous. This test might just be my last use of the converter (silly idea anyway!).
