16. Care must be taken to retain accurate rendition of color when shooting colorful coins. These include coins retoning after cleaning, ancient coins with patinas and modern issues just starting the journey from bright to gray or black. I have little experience with the currently popular rainbow hue coins since most of the ancient coins I collect are far past the stage that shows iridescent color unless they were cleaned 50 to 100 years ago.
