Title slide

1. Our program is to introduce the subject of coin photography. From my title slide you might figure out that I am primarily a collector of ancient and early world coins. In fact I have not added to my US collection since the 1960’s so I’ll ask your forgiveness for not showing coins that most members of this group find interesting. I have tried to select some US coins for examples when possible. In only fifteen minutes, I would be happy if you took away this one point. To make coin photos, you need three things:

1. A camera that can focus sharply on something the size of a coin
2. A good support for that camera
3. Lighting (natural or artificial)
