Ted Grussing is a good friend and an excellent pilot. He has been asking me to go up in his glider for a few months and today ws the first time we have been able to get it together. You see, I am a bit susceptable to motion sickness and it has to be pretty smooth for me to make it. The images I am posting were shot with my wifes Canon Rebel ESO xsi out the small portal in the canopy of his plane. They are jpegs and surely are not of professional quality. I am just beginning a transition to digital photography and plan on getting a Canon 5D Mark II for my landscape photography so this is a "get your feet wet moment." As I start usng the Canon 5D Mark II it should be possible to track my improvement as I get familiar with the system. I hope you enjoy this tale as it unfolds.

You got these up fast, Doug! This is a good first step towards digital stardom! And yeah...I was pretty much saying my prayers at the time you captured me!!
