July 20

I don't know how you all do it but I tend to agonize
a little over what to post for my PaD.

How do you go about selecting yours?

Does it just jump out at you or are you more like me?
Just curious.

Great pondering shot.
I always try and mix the nature of my PAD's up. So if one day I shoot a macro or a butterfly, the next I will go for a candid or something of a material nature.
An of course you have a day out somewhere have several good ones to choose from and I just select the grabber!

Great image and great choice for BW. Vote

My pads are impossible at the moment because ive got 3412 fairly good images to choose from, my pads depend on my mood

This is a very nice image.

Well, very often only one photo a day comes out in focus, well exposed, interesting and half way well framed. That will then be an easy choice. Sometimes it's harder and I just go with whatever I shot that day. Sometimes it's tough since nothing I shot came out very well and I just hope it doesn't turn too many people off the gallery! :)

You always have great galleries so don't stress too much!

Excellent, Doug. Very timeless, I love the feel of this, like it's right out of the fifties...
I do agonize. Sometimes it's easy and just falls in to place, others I end up with crap and that's what I post!
Guest 21-Jul-2006 17:12
I don't have a Pad yet...:) And probably this is the reason!!!
Guest 21-Jul-2006 17:03
I stressed over the Pad's too. Argh! NO RULES is now the name of my game! :)

An interesting topic indeed. Sometimes, I have so many candidates that I don't know which to chose, at other times (like in the past couple of weeks), it was not easy to find even one. The final decision is mostly spontauous, but it also happens that I already know at the time of taking an imaga that this will make a good pad. For a couple of months after starting my pad gallery, I was addicted to posting a pic a day, and the chosing process became increasingly painful. Recently, I have a more relaxed approach - and I feel much better with it. Excellent image, BTW!

For me it's not a problem. I like my shots, then I puplish them easy.
This shot has got a wonderful POV, and a strong B&W! A BIG vote. Roberto

I often wonder the same about you.
Your PaD shots are always so rich in concept.
Most days my PaD comes easy.

Interesting pov, very well seen and composed. I'm curious too. I got so stressed over pad-ing that I quitted after three months!
Knox O21-Jul-2006 04:50
nice expansive b&w.
...theres no real rhyme or reason. I go with my guts on a shot. Sometimes right, sometimes wrong.
ltolksdorf21-Jul-2006 04:34
Great b&w. Vote.

Mine just jump out and grab me around the neck!
:^)

Timeless. Well-done,Doug!

I'm like Lucie.I'm not a really PaDer anymore either. I just post whatever I have and try (stressing "try")to make more quality photos. Taking a photo on the same day and posting it really stressed me out.
Mindy McNaugher21-Jul-2006 03:33
Such a timeless quality to this shot! Love it! ...I often agonize and then change my mind about what photo to post. ;-)
Guest 21-Jul-2006 03:23
Fantastic! I agree with Sue and Sheila and JD.
Well... don't know what to say about my PAD. It depend on the days. I'm not a "real" padder any more, I post recent shots, shots that are either from the day, either not...
Sheila21-Jul-2006 02:54
I agonise.
Love this, Doug. It could have been taken yesterday or 30 years ago.
Guest 21-Jul-2006 02:20
If I had one like this one, Doug, I would not think twice ;-)
Deborah Lewis21-Jul-2006 01:31
Doug, ditto on all the comments - as my daughter told me there are "no rules" Trust me on that one!!!!!!!!!!!
Guest 21-Jul-2006 00:10
Like Jennifer said, it depends. This is a great photo. Very very good composition.
Sue Robertson21-Jul-2006 00:06
Reminds me of an old photo. Excellent.
Guest 20-Jul-2006 23:16
