Laced Woodpecker - female

The Laced Woodpecker is found in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and perhaps Bangladesh.

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical mangrove forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

The bird’s diet consists of insects, termites, larve, etc. on trees. It’s equally at home foraging on the ground and can be seen turning over fallen leaves and digging with its beak.
