I had just gotten home from a walk with my friend Soama and noticed 6-8 eagles wheeling over the river in front of the house. This one landed on a log just in front of the house and I was able to quietly open our sliding door and take some shots. They are so majestic and what a treat to have one right here at the house. I had spent a couple hours in the field looking for birds without any success, you just never know where photo opportunities will show up!
