These pictures I took at Serjilla, which is particularly beautiful, since it is sitting all alone in a small valley and on some surrounding hills: its isolation is very pronounced, and the overall impression is that of a city that has been recently deserted.
On the high ground there are several cemeteries, with some fine sarcophagi, most with some wheel motive. Would someone know what this motive is, it looks like one of those ancient "wheel of ...." symbols, but which and why and why here?
