The Çifte Minare Medrese (double minaret Koran school) has been built in 1271. In its back a recent restoration shows the original ground plan, but it still is mainly important for its wonderful Seljuk façade. The restoration seemed to be almost finished in June 2011, when I visited the town again. I decided to keep the pictures I took earlier in the main gallery, and just show the results of the restoration in this one. I was told at another spot that a laser is used nowadays to evaporate the eroded parts. The result is astounding, the stone is much more white than I ever thought. I hope authorities will not allow traffic, let alone parking, in its front, as used to be the case.
