To the Northwest of the Süleymaniye mosque and surrounding the Molla Gürani mosque an area that I have seen getting poorer over the years is largely being destroyed, in order to renovate it. I took several pictures of what it looked like before the renovation. Here and there some lone houses have been spared. I keep visiting the area so newer pictures will show the changes.
