Interior of Nasrullah Mosque | Fountain of Nasrullah complex

Fountain of Nasrullah complex

The mosque is part of a complex, of which the mosque and a (later built, after another was lost) medrese remain. A roofed fountain house is in front of the mosque. The first fountain was built by Hacı Bedîî Ahmed Ağa in 1753, it is understood that the fountain was repaired by İzbelizâde Mustafa Bey in 1862-63. The fountain, carried by eighteen thick pillars, has a rectangular plan with six arched openings on the long sides and three arches on the short sides and is covered by two domes with octagonal drums. The fountain house, which has two fountains, has two windows with pointed arches on the upper long sides and one on the short sides. There are double rows of sawtooth decorations on the fringe and skirt of the domes.
