Kethüda Yahya Ağa Çeşmesi

Kethüda Yahya Ağa Fountain, Yahya Ağa Fountain or Hatipzâde Yahya Paşa Fountain is a fountain located in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, Turkey. It was built in 1732 or 1733 by Yahya Ağa, who was then the steward of the Ottoman Grand Vizier Hekimoğlu Ali Pasha. On the Turkish Wikipedia one can read how its condition went from bad to worse, wit a Affan Egemen describes it in 1993: "it is so dilapidated that it can be said to consist of a pile of stones". However, in 2023 its restoration seemed to have started. It is located on Yelkenciler Street in Arapcami Neighborhood of Beyoğlu district of Istanbul. The front face of the fountain made of cut stone faces the Golden Horn.
