This museum (the name - Koran school with the slender minaret - is also given as Ince Minare Camii or mosque) was built between 1260-1265 by the vizier Sahip Ata Fahettin Ali. At that time no clear difference was made between a mosque and a medrese.
The building houses a fine collection of mainly architectural elements, many from the early days of muslim rule in the area.
