To the right of the circumcision room one arrives at a platform. At the time the picture was taken the Bagdad Pavilion was hidden from view due to restoration.
We do see a balcony with a bronze-gold canopy, built in 1640 under Sultan Ibrahim, the Iftariye: a place to eat the iftar, the meal of breaking ones fast in the month of Ramadan.
It is a great place to take pictures of much of the old town, which lies at ones feet. The next series was taken at that spot.
