In the ethnographical section of the Ereğli Municipal Museum, which is housed in a large three-story ‘konak’ (mansion) built in the late 19th century by Halil Paşa Karamahmutoğlu.
On the picture: Two women in the mid-19th century traditional dresses from the region of Zonguldak and Bartın.
In between them stand (from left to right) a ‘çıkrık’ (spinning wheel), a ‘semaver’ (samovar) on a small table and a copper ‘mangal’ (traditional indoor BBQ or chafing dish).
