Here we are on top of the wall leading from the Dungeon Tower towards the Canon Tower, to the right stretches another wall from Ottoman times, which then connects to the original Byzantine wall. The fortification to the right contains the Snake Well, it is called the Genç Osman tower and is to the left of the Golden Gate (just out of sight). Genç Osman means "Young Osman" and also is the title of one of the best Mehter songs (the music played by the Janisar bands).
