This is another series of shots of one of the truly great mosques in Bursa the Yesil or Green (1424) Mosque. It has a wealth of great tiles and carving, apart from just being good architecture.I visited the mosque once again in December 2006. I used flash to bring out more natural clours on the great tilework. Reflection caused some trouble, overall I think the result is acceptable.
In the back part, on either side of the corridor leading from the entrance to the main room, are two much smaller elevated rooms, with wonderfull tiles all around. Some damage is visible when looking up (has water somehow deteriorated the quality of the glazing?).
This is on the wall in one room (I think they essentialy have the same decoration). I changed the perspective and some distortion has occured (stretching).
