Having visited the temple of Zeus I expected to find the other remains of the city nearby. However, without a decent map and having to rely on the information of local farmers who themselves were not very interested I made a mess of that. I walked for some mile, then hiked a ride into what I thought would be the right direction , and found I somehow passed whatever remains there were. I had to hurry to get back to the main road to get to Bandırma before dark.

I passed a school where the ceremony of singing the anthem (held at the beginning and end of each school week) was under way.
