These are pictures I took during a short 2005 stay. I strolled into a populous and, it seemed, rather poor neighbourhood. The many kids I met near a market loved the photo opportunity.

For good measure: I have been returning up to several times a year and the region has improved a lot, the stone bridge visible to the right has been renovated and a large park area has sprung up along the riverside.
