this type of muqarnas domes were usually erect over a turba i.e. grave .This seljuq tradition started in Baghdad during the 13th centuary AD. a fine example is the amuqarnas dome of Zumurud Khaton mother of the Abbasid caliph al-Nasir who ordered the dome to be built for her.later Muqarnas domes became quite popular in Ýraq´, Syria and Turkey during Saljuq and Mongol periods.Mr Osseman I think you done a great job to the Islamic architectural History....Congrdution...and thank you
