This is one of the minor buildings of the Dolmabahce Palace, where the sons (Şehzade) of the "Padişah" lived. I was informed it housed the Resim ve Heykel Müzesi -Museum of Paintings and Sculpture, some collection of Turkish paintings and sculpture of the 19th and early 20th century. I visited either this building or the one to the south in March 2006 and did see some paintings and Sculpture indeed, I had the feeling that formerly the collection had been in another building, probably this. Only a few paintings and hardly any statues struck me, all rather mediocre.
