The full name of this nice new mosque – I only think they overdid it on the tiles - is Hacı Abdulhakim Sancak Carşı Camii, constructed in 2003. I mean, there is nothing wrong with tiles, but the old ones used to be hand painted, and were individuals. The modern ones become very repetitive and are only rarely nice, let alone beautiful.

The old art of ceiling painting is in full swing, and I like that much better.
