Ethnograpy Museum Ankara_0926.jpg

There is a showcase with a set of Iznik tiles from the 16th century. They were donated to the museum by retired ambassador Şefik Fenmen in memory of Perihan Fenmen.
In earlier versions these objects were described by an otherwise outstandingly well-informed viewer as being from Kütahya, but I think those comments were relevant for objects a bit more to the right in the same showcase. One reason to think so is the obviously very high quality of the Iznik objects shown. The light was a bit more difficult, it not being even across large panels.
