I am 66 and have been living in England for 45 years now. But I was born in Turkey. My parents were from Isparta and I spent quite a few summers when I was child in Isparta. The photo of Bey Hamam and the firewood in front brought to my mind some unusual memories. I remember many caravans of camels sitting in front of this bath-house; people unloading bushes and wood for burning in the furnaces and the camels being fed large lumps of dough!! The hollow echoing sound of the doors closing inside the central domed hot rooms of bath house still rings in my ears. They used to have a large heavy log hanging behind the door and when you pushed open the door the heavy log was pushed back and when you came in the log swung back and automatically closed the sturdy wooden door making a hollow wood-hitting-wood sound that echoed all over the dome.

My name is Hayati. I'm from Isparta. I congratulate Dick because he took lots of photos Isparta, which is my hometown. Also he took different angels. For example in this photo firstly is belong to Bey Hamamý (Bey Turkish Bath) and secondly is belong to Ulu Camii (Great Mosque back side). This is a different angle for taking a photo.
