The Gök Medrese (Blue seminary from 1277) with its impressive entrance now functions as a museum. Most of these pictures are from slides.

According to well-informed Turkish sources, this ‘medrese’ was a ‘Darüşşifa’ (= Medical high school and hospital). Its construction was ordered by Muinüddin Pervane, who was vizier during the ‘Ilhanlı’ government (the Iran based Mongols, who defeated the Seljuk at the Battle of Köse Dağ in 1243 and annexed their territory).
