Inside the Ottoman ‘Bedesten’ (a covered market hall). The exact building date is not known. Local sources suggest the 15th or 16th century. This picture gives an impression of the sorry state the building was in, prior to the nicely done comprehensive restoration in 2007-2009.

A bedesten is a covered bazar, a city that has a good old one like this can count its blessings, because they are great as for atmosphere.
