From the comments below this picture I gather people were pretty upset that I dared take such bad shots of their wonderful city.

I hope the present extended collection softens their hearts. It would also be nice if people stopped thinking I am a one-man promotional office for Turkey, rather then just a guy taking the occassional picture.

Ben Balikesirliyim ve sizin fotograflariniz bence benim çirkin sehrimi daha güzellestirmisler. I am from Balikesir though I live abroad and I think that your shots make more beautiful my town which I found not at all interesting or atractive.

I don't see anything wrong with this photo. I can see why you took it: it's visually interesting. Since "visual interest" seems to be the guiding philosophy behind your photography, rather than "promotion of Turkey tourism", it's ridiculous that someone would criticize this picture. As a soon-to-be tourist of Turkey (including Balikesir), I am not turned off by this photo, but rather intrigued by the juxtaposition of new and old that Balikesir appears to promise.
