A large stretch of the walls were fenced off for restoration in 2024-5, only near Urfa Kapısı and further south were the walls well in view. At some point the walls turn east, to then gradually bulge out to the west again, before suddenly turn east as the south side. Houses that formerly were in that area have been destroyed, probably landscaping will turn that area into parks.
