Of the Melikgazi Madrasah, adjacent to the southern facade of the Ulu Mosque, only the tomb adjacent to the qibla wall of the Mosque has survived to the present day. It is believed that the tomb belongs to Melik Mehmet Gazi, known as the "Conqueror of Kayseri".
