A fragment of a cover that once lay over the grave of the prophet. Such fragments lay on such spots for a while, and were then distributed to other spots. This one was in the Üç Şerefeli Mosque. One large, domed room contains articles that almost all have a dervish background. It is the former classroom of the complex. Türk ve İslam Eserleri Müzesi is usually translated as “Museum of Turkish and Islam Art” though I think “eser” is simply thing, article, not necessarily art.
