One of parts of a huge set of paintings, with a central painting showing Atatürk surrounded by citizens. On either side of it masses of people are on the move. A notice explains there has been a certain type of painting during the 1930’s, Inkilap painting (Reforms painting), that was produced after the Turkish republic was formed, “aimed at inculcating society with images of the new nation’s identity”. I failed to note the author of this work.
