036 Kastamonu Münire Medresi.jpg

The Münîre Madrasah (Bayraklı Madrasah), which was built during the revival of the mosque and extends in a "U" shape starting from the southwest corner of the building along the mihrab wall, consists of twenty-one rooms with porticoes in front. There is an inscription of six couplets on the door to the north of the building, which is covered with vaults above the rooms. The building, which has been repaired in recent years, is used as a foundation student dormitory. Tevfikiye Madrasah, which is known to have been built near the mosque after 1255 (1839) with two floors and nine rooms, was demolished before 1952. Built in the southeast of the mosque, the pentagonal planned, domed stone library building built by Reîsülküttâb Hacı Mustafa Efendi together with the Münîre Madrasa is in good condition. 660 books of the library located here were transferred to Kastamonu Provincial Public Library.Although the three-arched bridge built by Kadı Nasrullah in Kastamonu is in good condition today, one of its arches collapsed in time and a route with stairs was built in its place. Nasrullah Mosque is an important building that has gone down in the history of culture and literature with the sermons of Mehmed Âkif Ersoy before the War of Independence.
