There is an area to the south of Kurtulus Caddesi, where the streets gradually climb uphill, in the end becoming quite steep. It is a lovely area. Years ago I climbed further, all the way to the remains of a castle overlooking the town. I noticed a "teleferik" was being built, a cable car. I hope to one day hop it, and then walk downhill, as before.
