Magarali mosaic
The mosaic is from the Mağaralı (“with cave”) village in the Birecik district of the province of Şanlıurfa, and was excavated in 2013 and brought to the museum. It has a geometric pattern, with a rectangular panel in the centre, surrounded by a triple helix. Much of it has been lost. On the right side of the central panel, rectangular panels form concave and intersecting squares, on the left there also are intersecting squares. Outside there is as panel with intersecting circle panels.
