Jesus mosaic

From the web I learned it seems to have been “rediscovered” in 2002 in the storage of the museum. I read articles that speculate it was influenced by the Turin shroud. That leaves one with all sorts of problems as for time-scale and speculation about what that shroud is. Personally I think this is a rather mediocre fragment of a mosaic, depicting a bearded man.
