One of some stelae of promise. Also called kakosbos, these stelae were used as a means of keeping one’s promis to the gods upon the realization of a wish. In general they show a horseman, holding the club of Hercules, riding to the right. On their pedestal the nature of the wish, name of the person who had the wish, and the name of the god to whom was vowed are inscribed.
I have very many more in the Fethiye museum sub-gallery.
