One of some new pictures I took in 2018. I started at the edge of the region, where some modern buildings were taking over from their small and old neighbours. I then went uphill (where university buildings made me go east), then descended a few hundred meters further. I passed a street with a new “Atatürk house”, I didn’t visit. Then gradually downhill to the Kurşunlu complex and central town.
This is Necdet Erduran who has a shop, Tuğralı Konak, and does calligraphy and woodwork, as well as, it seemed, selling bric-a-brac. On one picture we see him writing my name on wood, by burning it. His handwriting was much better than mine.
