During one of my 2018 walks I was joined by this little dog.

From earlier visits I knew there is a spot where the path one tends to follow suddenly gets unpassible. One risks a drop of many meters, and sholuld back-track and somehow climb a hill, descending on the other side. As this dog kept following me when I tried a new path uphill I was pretty certain it was the right was. Indeed it was. The dog stayed with me, and later a man I met told me the dog would sometimes do this several times a day, shuttling between Uchisar and Göreme.
