On Istiklal Caddesi nr. 161, on a fine corner of the street and overlooking Galatasaray Square, a large and modern building has been erected that houses several of the cultural activities of the Yapı Kredi bank, such as a bookstore, galleries, a publishing house and a room for meetings. I feel somewhat connected, as some of my pictures were used in a book published by them, that was available in the large bookstore on the ground floor. Higher up there were several expositions. I only took some pictures of Ankara in the time it was being developed as capital. The building itself was a treat, I think I’ll return regularly.
