One of some random shots I took while waiting for other visitors unblocking the Empress Zoe mosaic.
I nevertheless did not spot the "Trompe-l'œil" until a 2017 visit: there seem to be some architectural elements between the two columns, but it is just painted. I did not spot this elsewhere, but I'll be on the lookout during future visits.
