Below the seated Christ in the Deesis two cherubs are preparing his throne, a scene called "Hetoimasia", on the throne is a bible, Adam and Eve are kneeling on either side.

Below that scene is the Weighing of the Souls", the scales seem to hang from the throne, on the left side of the scales angels hold scrolls with the deeds of the dead. A small figure stands between the scales. On the right of the scales black devils lead condemned souls towards a lake of fire, from a stream of fire starting directly below Christ in the Deesis.
