In September 2014 I again walked a deserted Aktepe, this time with a camera that could generate panoramic pictures straight away. Many of those were a result. They - as usual - are best viewed as "original", with some scrolling.

This is why I love this area: views to all sides, no other people in sight, and the promise of ever more fantastic views behind the - not too steep - hills. We look roughly north, heading towards Avanos, Ürgüp hidden to the right, Cavusin to the left, a mile or so further on.

One word of advice: make certain that you have ample time to find one of the few small paths down. If not, you have a problem.
