‘Saf seccade‘-carpet. (saf = a series / seccade = prayer carpet).
This type of prayer rugs were generally woven to be used in mosques. The ‘mihrab’ (prayer niches) on the carpet, separated by strips having similar designs, define the space arranged of each participant in the prayer.
