I was informed this represents the Virgin Mary sitting before a background of the city of Jerusalem.
This is the Annunciation scene. Archangel Gabriel is on the opposite wall (erased fresco, unfortunetly) they communicate through empty space.
The fresco can be seen on the wide-angle shot number 5622, to the right.
