Perge march 2012 3923.jpg

view map

A path (and sometimes not even that) led me along a series of unidentified (by me) constructions, some probably parts of city walls or defensive towers, others just large. All these are in the south part of town, where no visitors seem to come.

I have been informed this is a tower belonging to the Hellenistic city wall, built under Antiochos I (223-187 BC).

Je ziet een toren als onderdeel van de Hellenistische stadsmuur, gebouwd onder Antiochos I (223-187 v. Chr.).
